Based in Australia, Michael has spent his career working with the country’s three principal opal mining regions — Lightning Ridge in New South Wales, Coober Pedy in South Australia, and the boulder opal fields of Queensland — building relationships with miners, cutters, and buyers across the trade.

His specialization is natural Australian opal in its three most prized forms: Lightning Ridge black opal, crystal opal, and Queensland boulder opal mined within its host ironstone matrix.
